JOB OPPORTUNITY Mechanical Tradesperson / Heavy-diesel mechanic: Heavy Vehicles & Civil Equipment Location: Perth WA – DIDO to various sites Shifts: Day & Night | Ability to work away required Salary: $120,000 ($52–$55 p/hr base rate) Super Company Vehicle Full Time | Tools of Trade Provided The Opportunity Join a growing civil operation supporting the maintenance and repair of heavy vehicles and specialised equipment across metro and regional projects. This role suits a hands-on Mechanical Tradesperson who enjoys field-based work, problem solving, and supporting operational teams across rotating day/night shifts. What You’ll Be Doing • Maintain and repair heavy vehicles, including engines, hydraulic systems, air systems and electronic components. • Service and troubleshoot plant, auxiliary equipment and mobile systems. • Diagnose faults raised by crews and carry out on-site repairs where possible. • Coordinate external repairs and manage parts ordering and equipment readiness. • Conduct routine inspections, preventative maintenance and performance checks to minimise downtime. • Maintain workshop, yard and fleet cleanliness and organisation. • Assist with loading/unloading, materials handling and equipment preparation. • Follow safety procedures, complete pre-starts and participate in toolbox and site safety activities. What We’re Looking For • HR Driver’s Licence (HC desirable), White Card and Forklift Licence (LF). • Cert III Mechanical Trade (minimum) with hydraulics and auto electrical experience. • 5 years’ experience in heavy vehicle or civil equipment maintenance. • Strong diagnostic, problem-solving and organisational skills. • Confident using Microsoft Office and operational systems. • Reliable, professional, team-focused with a positive, “can-do” attitude. • Ability to work day/night rosters and travel for DIDO/work away requirements.
